Jennifer O. Mackin


Jennifer O. Mackin is the USA President, CEO and Principal of LPI. Jennifer has spent most of her career learning about how to develop managers and leaders and sharing this knowledge with others. Through Leadership Pipeline Institute, she is able to bring these leadership concepts to an international audience through adoption of Leadership Pipeline principles throughout the United States and through leveraging international partners.


In addition to the role of the LPI USA President and CEO, Jennifer is a principal, President & CEO of The Oliver Group, a leadership consulting firm founded in 1984. She has always focused on empowering leaders to optimize their people, accelerating business and personal growth. She has personally advised more than 400 businesses of many sizes and in various industries, including healthcare, hospitality, distribution, government, manufacturing, higher education, banking, financial services and social services, including several Fortune 500 companies. CEOs, entrepreneurs and other leaders seek her guidance with issues around strategy, leadership, and selecting and retaining key employees.


Jennifer’s current leadership role requires strategic direction of The Oliver Group while supporting her management team and also consulting directly with select clients. Building businesses, problem solving and leading teams are her greatest strengths, and growth and change have been substantial for The Oliver Group with double-digit average growth for more than eight consecutive years. She has won the Kentucky Entrepreneur Emerging Leader, 40 Under 40 and Woman to Watch awards, and The Oliver Group has one the Louisville Fast 50 for the past 6 out of 8 years as one of the fastest growing businesses in the region.


Prior work has been in the airline and pharmaceutical industries in marketing and organizational development capacities. Jennifer is a leadership thought leader and speaks to various audiences about developing future leadership talent and preparing organizations for change. She has consulted with companies in this arena since 1994. Organizations such as Young Presidents Organization, Vistage International, Chambers of Commerce groups, MBA classes, professional organizations and others have benefited from her expertise.


Jennifer gives back to her community by serving as a board member and executive committee member of Greater Louisville, Inc., the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, leading as committee chair for talent management. In addition, she spent five years on the board of the University of Louisville Family Business Center, an organization that provided resources to The Oliver Group during a critical transitional period. She also is on a peer selected board of licensees for PI Worldwide, a company offering talent management and assessment solutions and tools.


Jennifer earned her B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University in Bloomington and her M.B.A. from Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
